چکیده

Teicoplanin is a glycopeptide antibiotic commonly used to treat Gram-positive bacterial infections in the clinic. The aim of this study was provide therapeutic reference for clinical application and dosage regimen adjustment teicoplanin by identifying factors associated with its plasma trough concentration (Ctrough). A retrospective performed on patients suspected or documented who were hospitalized from November 2017 January 2020 treated while undergoing routine drug monitoring (TDM). total 112 Ctrough measurements obtained 72 included study. SPSS software correlation analysis receiver operator characteristic curve (ROC) analysis. showed statistically significant relationships (P<0.05) PLT, Scr, CLcr, eGFR, BUN Cys-C. ROC revealed that CLcr eGFR more sensitive specific compared other factors. These findings should be considered adjustment.

Retrospective analysis of relationships among the dose regimen, trough concentration, efficacy, and safety of teicoplanin in Chinese patients with moderate–severe Gram-positive infections

Objectives Teicoplanin, an antibiotic, has poor clinical efficacy when using the current drug label's recommended regimen, which is approved by the China Food and Drug Administration. This study explores the appropriate loading and maintenance doses of teicoplanin and evaluates the therapeutic target of teicoplanin trough concentration (minimum concentration [Cmin]). Subjects and methods All ...

Linezolid plasma concentrations and occurrence of drug-related haematological toxicity in patients with gram-positive infections.

Retrospective studies have documented a significant association between linezolid (LNZ) plasma concentrations and drug-related haematological toxicity. However, the safe upper threshold level for LNZ plasma trough concentrations (Cmin values) has not been defined with certainty. A prospective observational study was performed aimed at comparing LNZ Cmin values in patients developing drug-relate...

Treatment of bone, joint, and vascular-access-associated gram-positive bacterial infections with teicoplanin.

Teicoplanin, a glycopeptide antibiotic, was evaluated for safety and efficacy in the treatment of vascular-access-associated bacteremias and of bone and joint infections due to susceptible gram-positive organisms. Of 35 patients enrolled, 26 had osteomyelitis, 8 had vascular-access-associated bacteremias, and 1 had a joint infection. A total of 38 gram-positive isolates were identified: 23 Stap...

Pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic analysis of teicoplanin in patients with MRSA infections

BACKGROUND Teicoplanin is a glycopeptide antibiotic that has been used to treat serious, invasive infections caused by Gram-positive bacteria. The area under the drug concentration-time curve (AUC)/minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) was identified as a pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic (PK-PD) parameter of glycopeptide antibiotics that correlated with bacteriological responses and clinical ou...
